Stefanie's Story
I am Stefanie (Pfoutz) Sanchez. I am running for Manville Borough Council in 2025. I am a 3rd generation resident and moved back to Manville in 2019. My parents are David and Sharon Pfoutz (Raczkowski).
I'm excited to be a candidate for Borough Council, because I believe in Manville. My family lives here, and when I was married, I did leave Manville but returned in 2019. Manville is my home, and the small-town feel made me move back.
In High School, I always strived to do my best. I put in hard work, and it paid off when I graduated Manville High in 2001. I was the valedictorian for my class, which was a huge achievement for me. I was proud to be a student from our schools.
After High School, I attended college to earn my Bachelor's degree in Music Education from The College of New Jersey, also graduating with high honors. I joined a band when I was there and spent a few years playing shows not just in New Jersey, but from Massachusetts to South Carolina to Wisconsin.
Working on a voiceover project
I have been though everything here in Manville, both good and bad. From the flooding our town endures, to fun things like the Street Fairs and other community events. The fun community events are one of the main things I'd like to see Manville begin doing again.
For work, I am an instructional designer. This means that I create online learning tools for clients all over the United States. These tools are used to help educate employees of many various companies, for training and learning purposes.
Recently, I've taken on the job as an insurance underwriter assistant. I help process insurance policies for renewal.
In my spare time, I have been working on voiceover work. Voice acting has always been a passion of mine, and I love being able to play the roles of various characters from cartoon characters to voicing commercials. It’s a lot of fun for me, and I love freelance work in this field.
This past spring, I recorded a full voiceover demo, and I am really excited to see my hobby expand into so much more. I am currently working on the production side of my demo, which will be released later this year. It was a challenging task for me, but I was willing to take on the task to reap the long-term benefits this could have on my career.
Rescue cats Q & T
I have two cats, Q and T. Q was a stray that I found in a cemetery, and I taught him about the joys of being an indoor cat, including a buffet of cat food and being carried around like a baby on demand. I adopted T so he would have a sister to play with. They lord over the house from their cardboard box thrones.
Challenges are nothing new to me. I understand the challenges Manville faces as a town and community, and I’m ready to take on these challenges as your next Councilwoman. I will work hard for all Manville residents. I want to listen to your concerns and see how we can work on solutions to our problems.
